Evolution of the term laptop

Here is something which I know about laptop and evolution of its coin word. The term notebook was coined by “Psion” in the year 1999 to describe the small form-factor portable computers which could run Office, Internet & some web works too. It was re-introduced by Intel in 2008 to describe subnotebooks which are basically optimized for Internet access and core computing functions via cloud computing. It is being estimated that by the end of 2011 there could be around 50 million notebooks to be in circulation. Laptops have become a major part in both business and personal criteria’s. Approximately there are nine majors involved in the production of notebooks like sony,dell,hp,compaq,acer,apple,msi,lg,toshiba,etc. Among them the major producers are Sony, dell and hp. Notebooks are preferred more than that of desktops due to its portability as we know. But now they are preferred more due to its advancement in technology, enhanced graphics and high end of security and encryptions. Apple Inc is the first major to launch the thinnest laptop in the world followed by Samsung which is thinner when compared to the former. As a gadget freak all of us should be aware of both the pros and cons of these things as they are harmful on seeing the ecological scenario due to its made.
